I don’t know what it is about RAC folk, but they’re all so lovely! We come from many political spectrums, but seem to come together in solidarity in an effort to reverse this country’s appalling policy of mandatory detention.

Tonight’s Christmas celebration was no exception and we enjoyed an incredible meal at Chopan Charcoal Restaurant, 2/2 Baroona Rd Milton. This serves beautifully fresh and homely Afghan meals in a pleasant setting – a restaurant owned and run by Afghani refugees. Visit them tonight!

I am fascinated by the culture and country of Afghanistan, so it was wonderful being as close as I can to that experience without being able to visit the war-torn country itself.
